Garry "Goldwater" Jones, MLK Program Speaker
Garry “Goldwater” Jones has an extensive background with the DC Department of Corrections and the Federal Department of Justice working his way up to the rank of Senior Lieutenant with the Federal Correctional Institution in Tallahassee, Florida. During his career in Corrections he worked in Lorton, VA; Raleigh and Goldsboro, NC and Tallahassee, Florida.
He is the founder of the organization Advocate 4 Justice and author of 3 books:
Straight Out of Hell 1, Wrong Place, Wrong Time;
Straight Out of Hell 2: The True Character of a Man and
I Wasn’t Raised to Play by Their Rules.
He holds a B.A. in Criminal Justice from North Carolina Central University.
Mr. Jones is a well travelled motivational speaker presenting speeches on various topics including Overcoming Depression and Living a Life of Fulfillment; Recognizing the Signs of Prostate Cancer; and Bringing Balance to the Criminal Justice System.
